# CDRN Evidence Governance

## Purpose
CDRN separates proof of creation from evidence of use, adoption, and independent recognition. Public claims should be traceable to retained source evidence.

## Evidence classes
1. **PROV** — provenance: releases, changelog, methodology, authorship, citation records.
2. **USE** — anonymous aggregate product activity: plans generated, calendar exports, resource downloads, returning sessions.
3. **FB** — practitioner feedback: server-generated `FB-YYYYMMDD-XXXXXX` IDs with UTC timestamps.
4. **ADOPT** — adoption: evidence that a team or organization reused, incorporated, taught, or operationalized CDRN.
5. **EXT** — independent external recognition: citations, links, articles, presentations, teaching, or professional references created independently of the maintainer.
6. **CHANGE** — product changes traceable to documented practitioner needs or feedback IDs.

## Verification levels
- **Aggregate**: anonymous product-use counts only.
- **Self-reported**: practitioner reports use/adoption but no corroborating evidence is retained.
- **Corroborated**: supporting email, letter, public reference, organizational artifact, or other source documentation is retained with permission.
- **Independent external**: evidence exists outside CDRN and can be independently checked.

Do not describe aggregate use as organizational adoption. Do not describe a self-reported claim as independently verified.

## Public reporting rule
Publish only metrics that have a documented calculation method and source snapshot. Preserve dated snapshots used for any public figure. Do not backfill or estimate unsupported historical numbers.

## Confidentiality
Never retain patient-level information, sponsor-confidential data, named-study details, credentials, proprietary code/documents, or information the contributor is not authorized to share.
